The Art of Building a Metaphor

Thru an engaging lesson to lean, so smart help “distract” the conscious part of the brain, causing a comatose part of it, that it is “tracking” and “activating” cures, replies and meanings that help often so striking that a person brings to light something vital, that you “click” the mind and be in a position to realize and solve any issues.

The comatose can distinguish associations, is way more abstract than our conscious, knows to relate things: one thing “leads” or drive to another because they have “common features”.

Good metaphors are like “keys” to access the unconscious of a person. So are vital when do NLP exercises.

Here are some examples …

Often we are saying “metaphors” and limiting easy as “I feel lost” or “so heavy that day,” we usually fill our day and metaphors. A key step would be to listen and change these allegories for inspiring others, to help us see our situation differently.

One of my fave metaphors in the film “Forrest Gump” and see whether you remember …

“Life is like a box of chocolates, when you open one you do not know precisely what you are getting.”

Metaphors to Communicate with Others

Metaphors help us hook up with our subconscious, “to name what we don't know how” but also help us to connect, to communicate better with others.

Each person has a majority representative system, ie, an implying that is processed by which much information … Can be visible, auditory or kinesthetic. When we identify the representative system of our partner can utilize analogies to “approach” is more to him, to “improve our communication” and make sure that our message is really heard.

I give an example:

If your boss is visible can say something like “The results of sales plummet, we want to do something” (a visual metaphor will help you to understand your message better)

O. ..

If your other half is hearing you assert something like “Let’s talk by one, otherwise we sound like chickens hollering at once in a chicken coop.” (trabajos por internet)

And therefore you get the point?

Now … The simplest way to start?

Read often what I call it like the “Sources of Metaphors” specifically, jokes, fables, children’s stories, many stories of the Bible or other spiritual books, poetry, etc … This can give you the experience and training to begin building your own metaphors.

And if you already have or come by employing metaphors to communicate better, share in this space, we'd like to hear from you! EduynLabino
